NCR Opens Belgrade Campus

Atlanta-based tech giant NCR Corporation, a major producer of point-of-sale terminals, automated-teller machines, barcode scanners, software and other electronic products, opened its largest facilities in Europe in Belgrade on October 5th.

NCR’s 30,000 square foot Belgrade campus, which cost some US$ 100 million, will employ 4,200 people, and is being promoted as the most modern business complex in Serbia.

NCR first started operating in Serbia with 300 employees in 2011. The director of NCR operations in Serbia, Stefan Lazarevic, claims that NCR’s plan is to continue to grow to over 5000 employees in the near future. Lazarevic added that NCR’s tax contributions to the Serbian budget now exceed five times the amount of state subsidies the corporation received over the past decade.
