Croatia to Purchase 89 Bradley Fighting Vehicles

Croatian prime minister Andrej Plenkovic has announced the purchase of 89 U.S. made Bradley M2AS ODS Fighting Vehicles, after an agreement with Washington reportedly worth USD 196 million. The purchase price includes USD 45 million in assistance, according to the U.S. embassy in Zagreb. The sale includes 62 fully equipped Bradley’s, five training vehicles, and a further 22 vehicles to be used for spare parts.

The purchase is part of an overall modernization program for the Croatian military. The newly-acquired Bradley’s are intended to be the backbone of a new motorized infantry brigade Croatia plans to field by mid-2026.

In May 2021, the Croatian government announced the purchase of twelve used Dassault Rafale F3R Fighter Aircraft from France, in a sale worth approximately one billion Euro.
